Director of Nursing Services, DNS Imo State Ministry of Health, Owerri Nr. Barr. Mrs Ucheamaka Oranusi has cautioned Colleges of Nursing Science in the state against indulging in actions capable of undermining exam ethics, principles and standards of Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria in the forthcoming Registered Nurse (RN) exams.
Oranusi in a brief chat with NIGERIAN NEWSGUIDE specifically mentioned any form of indulgence in examination malpractices, noting that such act is not only punishable but could lead to the termination of studies and rustication of students found culpable.
She warned Heads of Colleges of Nursing in the state to resist the temptation of aiding or abating examination malpractice as anyone caught would receive the appropriate sanctions commensurate to the offence committed.
The Director explained that the coming RN exam is computer based test (CBT) thus urging the schools involved to ensure that the candidates they are presenting are computer literate enough as to do well in the exams.
NIGERIAN NEWSGUIDE learnt that a total number of 11 schools; two universities and nine Colleges of Nursing are participating in the forthcoming Nursing & Midwifery Council exams scheduled to hold between Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th May, 2026.
