One of the fastest growing churches in the Diocese of Owerri, Emmanuel Anglican Church Area L, World bank, New Owerri will on Sunday 24th May, 2026 roll out the drums to celebrate 15 years of her existence.

The then small chapel carved out from St John’s Anglican church, New Owerri Parish in 2011, has today to the glory of God transformed into a mega city church with a parish status.

With a population of about 500 wonderful members, the church deemed it necessary to celebrate these 15 years of spiritual, physical and fiscal experimental planting of trees that has today germinated and growing rapidly into an enviable congregation.

A statement endorsed by the Vicar of the Paris, Rev Canon Gabriel O.C Ekekwe, Chairman of anniversary planning committee Dr Obialo Osigwe and Secretary Mrs Joy Kalu-Nwiwu, a copy of which was made available to NIGERIAN NEWSGUIDE says the 15th anniversary event would begin with a special church service at 9 am.

According to the statement, the historic ceremony would feature Thanksgiving to appreciate God for his grace and mercies upon the church since her inception alongside presentation of recognitions to a few individuals who had supported and contributed towards the growth and development of the church as well as special songs and entertainment of members and guests.

The release therefore invites friends and supporters of Emmanuel Anglican church Area L New Owerri to attend in their numbers.
